Time, so it is being said, multiplies when you give it away.
Being looked at without hurry, sooner or later the image reveals itself. It turns into a time machine, a flower generator, a rainbow grinder, an adventure. Paintings store time like a battery. I have to say I’ve put plenty in it.

If colours were music

If colours were music, white would be the silence.

Idea Road

The canvasses are out to dry. At this point I have no other place to put them but those parts of the dirt road which are most level.

Each canvas is a step to the idea of a painting. Each step is a crossroads of ideas. And yet each painting is already present; where the next step would be simply one that takes me closer.

Wo dieser Spaziergang hinführt, ist nie ganz gewiss.

Im Fluß

Wie die aufgeschlagenen Seiten eines Buches liegen die Leinwände im Sand des trockenen Flußbetts. Über Nacht fallen Blätter, Piniennadeln; ein Tier hinterläßt einen kleinen Pfotenabdruck. Es regnet. Die Sonne scheint. Die Schatten tanzen. Die Welt dreht sich … sonst passiert nicht viel. Später kommt Farbe hinzu …
